My private Doctor is helping me to experiment with Erfa..so far I've been slowly replacing Levothyroxine with Erfa....but not terribly successful so far.....is it better to stop taking Levothyroxine one day and start taking Erfa the next,,could this still make the difference?

It's recommended that NDT should be started at half a grain (30mg) to see how the T3 is tolerated. Increases are usually in half grain increments every two weeks.
Levothyroxine is usually reduced by 50mcg for each half grain introduced otherwise patients would become hypothyroid as they build up to an optimal dose of NDT.
Personally I stopped taking levo for 2 weeks before starting NDT because levo being T4 alone can stay in your system for up to 7 weeks! I was terrified the NDT wouldn't work but after taking a reduced dose for several weeks could not believe how well I felt!!
