No residual tumour and T3 start tomorrow

MRI brain scan shows no residual tumour (pituitary tumour removed last year) and endo says I can start my self sourced Greek T3. I'm to reduce levo from 125 mcg to 100 mcg, cut my 25 ug T3 in half and take in morning and other half afternoon :)

Loo44, great news there's no more tumour, you must be very relieved :)

I'd advise taking a quarter tablet (6.25mcg) the first week while the higher dose of T4 is washing out so you can see how you tolerate it before increasing to 12.5mcg.

Pulse and heart rate may increase an hour or so after ingesting T3 but it should return to normal within another hour to hour and a half.

Thank you Clutter. So, take quarter in morning, quarter in afternoon for a week with my reduction of t4 to 100 mcg? Do I raise both t3 doses the second week? Wonder why my endo said 12.5 T3 twice a day. Maybe she's wanting me to be scared by the side effects I'll probably experience :)

Loo, 25mcg T3 is equivalent to 75mcg T4 so it's a big hit in one go.

See how you do on 2 x 6.25mcg. Nothing wrong with sticking with that if you feel good. If not, I'd raise in 6.25mcg increments.
