Has there been a withdrawal of Teva brand as my surgery and chemist cannot get hold of it at the moment.I can not tolerate Activas or Almus brands. Mind you I have gone a bit off keel at the moment so was just curious.
The brand that my body tolerates is not available - Thyroid UK

Farmermechanic, Teva's Licence for 100mcg Levothyroxine was withdrawn by the MHRA in 2012. I wasn't aware they had a licence for other doses of Levothroxine.

Mercury Pharma and Wockhardt are alternative generic Levothyroxine to Actavis (Almus).
Teva used to have a product licence for 50 microgram tablets as well.
In addition, and potentially confusingly, for 25 microgram tablets they supplied product from Goldshield, who then became Mercury Pharma. It had exactly the same product licence number whether sold as a generic or as Eltroxin or Teva.
As Clutter points out, Almus is the same product as Actavis but packaged for a Boots company.
Yet again, Thyroid UK can explain why when your surgery and chemist appear not to know.
Sorry I should have said pharma mercury I have managed to find some so my panic is over phew. Many thanks for the replies.
