Could be. I do know that you can start with an allergy with something you have been in contact with for years with no previous problems. Try taking an anytihystamine tablet about an hour before your thyroid meds. If you are already taking your meds on an empty stomach and not eating for a while then it should point to the thyroid meds if no reaction after the antihistamine.

Will try.

Been to heart specialist, all good, anxiety causing it.Also copy of Levels whilst I was there.TSH gone down to 3.04. free T3. 4.7. Free T4. 18.7. Feeling a lot better.

When you post results it would be helpful if you could also post the ranges as these differ from lab to lab. Your TSH shows you are under educated but without the ranges for the other two it's more difficult to say whether you should be looking to increase your thyroxine or whether you should be looking at other things

Sorry ,

free T4. 18.7 (9.0-25.0) pmol/ L

TSH 3.04. (0.50-5.00) mIU/L

Free T3. 4.7. (3.5 - 6.5). Pmol/L

You have room to increase your dose so may be that will help. Remember if you do increase get tested again and post your results. It may well improve matters but not enough and so you may have to then consider other things.

Am going to take 75 mcg.Mon Wed.and Fri. 50mcg.other days. And get it tested in a couple of months.Appointent cancelled with Endo on Monday. He's had a death in the family. That is what he had suggested before he thought I had Afib.Got all clear from heart specialist.Said it is stress.

I don't feel as stressed when I take more thyroxine.Have to go see Endo 5th will talk to him then and let him know what I am doing. Did take antihistamine this morning,no problem with lips.

Sounds as though you may have an allergy with the fillers. They do vary slightly between different brands so have a word with the pharmacist. Tell them what you have done, that taking the antihistamine stopped it and they should be able to suggest another brand for you with different fillers. If you find what that doesn't give you the problem then ask your GP to name it on your prescription so that pharmacist can order it in for you. If nothing seems to work then have a word with Endo. I think there is one brand that has to be brought in specially but can't remember the detIls now, may be someone will come in with that for you. It may be though that the Endo has to sanction that first. With trying the other brands first though if you see the Endo whilst still trying something different then explain what you are doing and why. He may well then say what he would want you to do next

In the meantime will it be alright to keep taking Eutroxsig

in reply tosilverfox7

Went to docs, got another script for Oroxine told it was the same as Euroxsig.Made by same firm. $2 dearer..The only 2 used in Australia. Used to have Oroxine a few years ago, chemist changed it to generic brand Euroxsig.I'll find out in morning if I get a reaction from it.

I'm not familiar with any of those drugs but anything like that I would respect a pharmacists view. Hope it all works out for you.
