Hi I am a 41 year old woman who is perimenopausal, could this effect my thyroid as my hand have started to tremble, increased muscle weakness, and constantly cold. Recent bloods came back normal but I'm not convinced 😁

Hi SarahjaneD - your blood tests may come back as normal but that doesn't mean to say that your thyroid isn't the issue as many drs as I have found take the TSH test as the gold standard for thyroid and will not discuss further or discuss your clinical symptoms. Do you know what your TSH is?
I am 46 and also perimenopausal and trying to get diagnosed.
Welcome to the forum, SarahjaneD.
Menopause can trigger hypothyroidism. 'Normal' thyroid range is very broad and where you are in the range is telling so ask your GP receptionist or practice manager for a copy of your results with the lab ref ranges. Post them in a new question and members will advise.
