thinning hair in the front would it be ok if I had a light perm at the back where the hair growth is not affected by my thyroid condition

I would not advise it because of all the toxins that are in hair products

Rollrider, ask your hairdresser to send of a hairsample for analysis to see whether it would tolerate a perm treatment.
