Six Factors Which Can Affect The Conversion of T4 to T3
He's left out iron which is a major factor in T4/T3 conversion.
That's helpful info, thanks for sharing. It makes me wonder if lactic acid inhibits T4 to T3 conversion too? as it must have an inflammatory effect in the body's tissues too (hence the pain). The problem is we get excess lactic acid when we don't spin our Krebs Cycle properly in the mitochondria (poor Krebs cycle spinning: caused by low T3 &/or poor nutritional levels), so it's a viscious circle......just a thought......
Yes, it is a thought. I Wonder if anyone else has thought of it. I've never heard it mentioned, but that means nothing. Why Don't you suggest that to Diogenes, see what he says?
I have posted an abstract which I found after reading this thread.
healthunlocked.com/thyroidu...
It doesn't, so far as we can see in the abstract, go down the suggested route, but does seem to be of interest and relevance here.
That's a very interesting link, Rod. But I do Wonder if you posted it on the right thread...
I was thinking that if there were an impact of lactic acid on T4 -> T3 conversion, then it could show up as exercise intolerance.
