The ALT value gives you an idea of how much necrosis has occurred to the hepatocytes. The higher the number the worse it is. The number is within the normal range and close to the minimum value which is good.
The ALKP and the bilirubin figures could tell you of potential problems with the bile duct. Again these are within the normal range.
The albumin value is a reflection of the synthetic capability of the liver. This value is also within the normal range. I may add that often this is provide with the Prothrombin time and the INR value.
Hope you don't mind me asking on this thread but I'm wondering about what you said about necrosis.... I was in hospital for 3wks in July and my ALT was 2100 eventually dropping to 78 on my discharge. Does necrosis mean it won't heal or does the gradual lowering of the ALT mean it's repairing? This is the first time I had liver problems. Thanks.
