Weight on legs
Yes 😔 no suggestions or solutions but you are not alone x
Oh yes. The top of me is quite small and the bottom belongs to a different person. I have straight up and down sausages for legs with a ridge just above my feet, which are quite slender.
Could it be Lymphadema?
My legs are the same - looking back they started at the same time as I became hypothyroid but that wasn't diagnised for a few more years and the doc just told me I had lymphodaema and that nothing could be done 😖
Twenty years on i still haven't found a solution I'm afraid. Sit with your legs raised whenever you can and gentle massage helps. Sorry not to be able to pass on a magical cure!
Oh, god, yes! All my bloody life! The only times I've had normal legs is when I was on a hyper swing. Two years ago, for various reasons, I found myself in hospital with all sorts of drips - more drips than I knew was possible for one person! And one of them was a... whatsit called, thing to get rid of water. And after two days, wow!!! I actually had legs! Good legs! As soon as I was able to get up, I was rushing round in a short nighty showing off my legs! lol Not only that, but water came off the whole body, and I had a good figure, as well!
Well, that was two years ago, and now, I still have the figure, but the legs? What can I say... Not as bad as they used to be but worse than two years ago.
I Don't know what the solution is, I've tried hard enough to find one. The water pills from the doctor Don't do it for me, but I can't keep nipping back to hospital to ask for a drip. lol Doctor said to put my legs up as much as possible, but I Don't know if that really helps. If anyone out there has a solution, please let me know.
I believe its actually called lipeodema (not lympodema that's something different).
There are several stages to the condition and often it gets worse during hormonal changes like pregnancy, menopause and thyroid changes.
I am stage 2. The nhs have a page too, but the photo isn't correct!!!! That's a lympodema not lipoedema photo.
