The usual advice given on this forum for people who take levo at night is to take none the day before the test, and then take two doses on the day of the blood draw - the first dose immediately after the blood is taken, and the second dose at night as usual.
This double dosing won't do any harm. I've read about some people who only take levo once a week - which I find amazing!
Would that count for the thyroid 24 hour urine test too? I've had a complete mental block about this, so I'm very glad Pinkpeony has posted this query!
My doc's advice was, 'stop your thyroid and adrenal medication the day before'. Now that the test kit has arrived I'm suddenly unsure. Does that mean none the day before I start the 24hr test, as well as none on the test day? Possibly my own query belongs in the Department of Daft Questions. :$
