How does a person tell that they're in remission? Is it to do with the length of time spent in normal ranges while still on medication i.e. 6 months or a year? Just wondered..

Arab, Remission is when you have 12 months off Carbimazole without becoming hyperthyroid. 9-18 months on Carbimazole is often judged sufficient time for thyroid to have been regulated and to come off Carb. Remission is less likely to be permanent if you have Graves antibodies.
