Abcess

About a year ago, I had surgery to get my left thyroid out and not long after the surgery, I started to get abcess between my legs and under my arm and I have none stop got them ever since I get put on pills and it still don't help..... anyway I can stop them

Not sure I have any answers but I have read they can be a sign of under-medication. I might add that I have a boil which comes and goes and has done for many months, improved briefly with antibiotics but don't want those again, so if anybody has any ideas I too would be grateful for advice. Have you had blood sugar levels checked? Just a thought as I think recurrent infection can be a sign of high blood sugar.

sounds like you have a skin condition called Hidradenitis Suppurativa

ive had it for 20+ years

sorry to say this but there aint much drs can do about it, antibiotics do help if theres an infection

i was really bad just bfore being diagnosed hypo

id go to hospital and beg them to drain it but they refused as id need an anasthetic as it was infected

went to see nurse at my drs next day she took one look and got the dr who drained it straight away

the pain is awful

i get them armpits, under boobs, tops of legs and lady bits

its another autoimmune disease that drs know nothing about
