Underactive thyroid

Weight gain and severe sweating. I was diagnosed last November with borderline underactive thyroid gland. I was on 25 mg of eltroxin which gp increased to 50 mg 3 weeks ago. I have gained two stone in weight since November and have terrible sweating especially at night. I feel down amd like I am in a world of my own.

It sounds as though you need more medication. My night sweats stopped once I was on slightly more levothyroxine. I still need to lose the weight though!

Can I ask if you were borderline did the doc give you a choice to go on medication or wait?
