How are your levels of VitD - B12 - Ferritin - Iron - Folate ? They need to be optimal in their respective ranges for the thyroid hormones to work and for you to feel well too.....
Sorry to be difficult Everdean - but we see here all the time that people say their results are fine. Fine by whom ? The GP's often state that things are fine as long as they are in range. Sadly that is not the case. B12 needs to be around 800/900 - VitD >125 - Ferritin around 80/90 and so on. As silverfox has said having copies of results is important and needs to be routine so you can monitor your own health and make progress.
Absolutely no point in adding in T3 as you suggested in your opening post - unless all the basics have been attended to. So check the Ferritin - Folate - Iron - B12 - VitD. It's a bit like building a house without foundations
You say all is well with your B12 - well you are taking a 1000mcg - maybe you need more - depending on what your first result was. Also ONLY 20% of your result is utilised in the cells where it is needed.
The above vitamins and minerals listed above are the building blocks of wellness......
Did you read the lovely post here by debsydoorknocker this morning - called - A Positive Post....
You need to get into the habit of asking for a printout of your results and then posting them with the ranges. The ranges, often in brackets, are important as they differ from lab to lab. The doctor can't refuse though the receptionist may try as they are your results though there may be a nominal charge to cover paper and ink. When doctors say your results are normal it usually means they are in range but that's not always optimal. Post your results and I'm sure you will get plenty of comments as to what to do next.
