How do you feel? If you have no symptoms, then it is fine but if you feel unwell, you need to tell us, so members can advise.

Hi Ann, When you feel well on your treatment, those two blood tests are probably enough but there are many other tests that can be taken if the patient still has symptoms. Unfortunately your medical system often fails to see the importance of doing so. Your free t3 test is a valuable one in conjunction with your ft4. Even antibody tests should be taken. If you have symptoms or don't feel well, insist on more testing and get the results along with the ranges so you can have proof of your condition. You are allowed to do so.

Hi,thankyou so in your opinion do you think I still need to take 100 mcg,it's all so very complicated and doesn't help when drs don't seem to understand the thyroid,

.....yes keep taking the dose if you feel well. As others have said - if you do not have any symptoms then all is well. Do consider the points others have made if you do not....

Did you have the other tests I suggested on your earlier post about breathlessness. If your B12/iron/Ferritin/Folate/D are all low it may cause breathlessness - but could also prevent the T4 you are taking from converting efficiently into the ACTIVE T3. Without the FT3 test you will never know :-)

Very good, did your doctor agree and will you get a print out of them? Some have gone to Blue Horizon and had them done privately.

Not what you're looking for?
