Welcome to the forum, Ann68.

Try taking your Levothyroxine at bedtime (2 hours after food/drink/medication) and see whether the symptoms improve.

Thankyou for replying it's good to hear someone else has experienced this,I frighten the life of my granddaughter when she stays over and she says it's like I am choking,it's really scary when your alone, what to do about it? I am going to try taking meds at night instead of morning see if that helps.all the best Ann

Maybe see if you can be higher on your pillows some how...I have my window open a bit, to make sure Im taking in good air at night...I don't know if any of that helps, but worth a try... Im on my own, so its very scary....I have a brother with sleep apnea, and I have spoken to Gp about that, but they don't seem to think I have that too...Let me know if meds at night help better please....:)

Can you obtain your latest thyroid blood test results with ranges and post a new post... Someone will comment and offer advice. What dose are you on of T4 ? Couldn't see any information on your Profile....

Have you had the basics tested - B12 - VitD - Ferritin - Folate - Iron ? They all need to be a optimal levels for you thyroid tablet to work.

Maybe a scan of your thyroid would also help ...
