Yes. The body secretes noradrenaline to compensate for lack of thyroid hormone. Body temperature would be the best way to tell whether you're hyper or hypo: tiredthyroid.com/feeling-hy...
Thanks for that just read it very interesting it's amazing wat u learn all the time dam graves lol
Yep - especially common symptoms which can occur to hyper or hypo people are insomnia, palpitations, pain (in all kinds of seemingly unrelated places).
At the start of my B&R treatment for Graves, every time I needed an increase in my thyroxine I got palpitations again. I thought I was going hyper again until some wise person on here told me some symptoms are shared by both hyper and hypo. Sure enough when my levo was increased the palos etc disappeared then came back four to six weeks later when I needed yet another increase. Like you say damn Graves - things do get better eventually though.
Hi there
Yes I know this feeling I have underactivr thyroid was on 75mcg thyroxine for 14 years then started to get I'll lost 3 stone in weight was constantly on the go couldn't relax was getting stomach issues running the look a lot etc then my gp found out I needed my medication reducing to 50mcg at first I was so tierd I couldn't do anything but after a while I improved gained half a stone but still cold most of the time can't stop cleaning up I have low mood and insomnia most nights my skins itchy and dry so is my scalp and dry hair plus bouts of palpitations plus various other symptoms and constipation is awful too so its very confusing I have same symptoms when I was either way with my thyroid its not an easy thing to live with at times that's for sure
Go by how you feel not test results. Everybody is different and the tests are just that - tests.
Insomnia can be a hyper or hypo symtpom too.
