Cramp
Karen, low salt is often the cause of cramps. Try a couple of pinches of salt in a glass of water for a few days to see if the cramps stop. I suffered cramps in my feet and legs before I was on Levothyroxine, not since (touch wood).
Hi Karen178. Clutter is right. How long have you had it. When I used to be on thyroxin I didn't get any cramp. Then I was put onto eltroxin and boy did I get cramp in my feet and right up my legs. Lasted for about 10 days then settled down but if I altered the dose it would kick off again. So it may be a settling down thing
I find magnesium helps my cramps or tonic water, but it must have quinine in so go for the well known brand
eat more bananas fo potasium i get dreadful cramp in my toes and top of thighs. drink lots of water too
I used to suffer lots of cramps at night for many years before diagnosis, I used to drink sparkling water, I found spa and Perrier to work the best. Not sure if spa still available, as it was many, many years ago.
I hope it helps
HI The most common cause of leg cramps is calcium out of range so ask for as test. Calcium is affected by vit D which is hormonal.
