Welcome! Do you get your actual results or do you rely on the gp to interpret them for you?
It is most useful if you can get a copy of your results plus the lab ranges (which are usually included) and post them here. You are entitled to a copy and if your test is recent it shouldn't cost anything (I can't remember but maybe they are allowed to charge you 10p or something). You may be asked to wait for the gp's approval, which is fine (sometimes they want to make sure there isn't anything they need to discuss with you before you get the results).
Most of us have had the experience of hearing we are 'fine' and later finding that the levels of thyroid hormone which the gp considers fine may be too low. This can carry on for years and you can feel (and be) very unwell over time.
Puncturedbicycle has given a good response. Always get a copy of your blood test results with the ranges. Don't take levothyroxine before your blood test and have it as early as possible. If you took levo before this blood test ask for a new one as the results would have been skewed.
Ask if he could do a T3 blood test too as you think you may be low. Never take 'fine' or 'normal' they are both meaningless if you still are symptomatic.
Always have a thyroid hormone blood test as early as possible not having taken levo before. Take it afterwards. Ask also for Vitamin B12, Vit D, iron, ferritin and folate as we are usually deficient and that can cause problems too.
I have the same problem, feel so sleepy at times during the day. I suffer from muscle fatigue after doing anything and often have to sit down, only to wake up 45 mins later. My levo was put up to 100 and for a couple of wks I felt like the brain fog had lifted and my energy levels were boosted for it all to settle back to the way I was previous. It seems very difficult (more like impossible) for Doctors to treat all symptoms.
