This is interesting as I was never the same again after contracting glandular fever at the age of 19.
I had EBV at 21, undiagnosed for 3 weeks until I could hardly walk. I then developed IBS, food intolerances and eczema that covered my hands, elbows & various other patches. I'm currently investigating my thyroid function & B12 levels having had symptoms for 6 years & chronic plantar fasciitis for 2 years...
I had GF for a year aged 26. I had to hand in my notice as the test came back negative and no dr. would sign me off. I was then fine until a year or so after my first child was born, I've had various 'episodes' since that and finally 10 years on I've come to the conclusion that the culprit is probably my thyroid. Tests ongoing....
