Hello there my latest thyroid level is 0.8 and the Dr said its out of kilter. It started off at 10. Currently aim on 100mcg Levo. What can I expect next month when I see specialist ? Will they lower the dose? I still feel rubbish. Thanks in advance

Three months ago you posted and had some good and helpful replies from people. Did you manage to find your glasses and have a read of them - just mentioned that as you said you couldn't find them There were lots of suggestions of other tests required - just wondered if you had them.
Have you followed some of the advice regarding Hashimotos ? Diet - supplements and so on.... If you type Hashimotos into the Search HealthUnlocked on the Green Bar at the Top of the page and then press Enter on your keyboard - lots of information will appear - hopefully
Am afraid its all about learning and reading and also following the good advice given here when appropriate....
Hello there, I mentioned other levels and other meds to specialist but he's only interested in giving me Levo. I had really high levels of anti bodies 1800 I think it was . He also said it takes time adjust to different dosages. I thought when I finally got to see a specialist he would have all different info for me but he's no different to my gp. and now I'm getting all the aches and pains again and waking up with numb hands . I am imagining when I go back for my appt he is going to lower the dose if its .8? I tried the diet supplements of taking B12 and reading up on Hashimotos etc but even following advice I dont feel any better, it's like I'm running on a battery, i have to keep having snoozes. Wake up fine at 7am, have my tablet...by 10 am I feel like I've been awake all night. Come 9pm I'm like a zombie. all the other symptoms I could probably put up with, but the tiredness is just ridiculous. I've been on these tablets for years now and can't say I feel better for it. The info I get here is brilliant...shame the same cant be said for the specialist who I thought was ping to be my saviour.
Anne, TSH just above or below 1.0 is generally comfortable for most people on Levothyroxine so I don't know why your GP feels 'it is out of kilter'. TSH of 0.8 is unlikely to make the endo want to reduce your dose. Hopefully the endo will also test your FT4 and FT3 which will give a better picture of your thyroid hormones than the pituitary TSH test.
Your TPO is very high. Have you tried gluten free diet to reduce the antibodies. I am hypo and developed tpo's so went gluten and lacto free and it has helped. Read Izabella Wentz book about Hashimoto's. I found it very useful
