Well, put your foot down! Refuse to take any nonsense from him. Let him know who's boss right from the start! Because you are boss! Your body, your health, your life. You know your body and what it needs better than some medic you've never seen before. Don't be a door-mat, stand up for yourself. After all, you pay his wages!!!

It does sound as though your body might need more thyroid hormone. Your doctor is right to be sending you for a blood test.
