Hashimoto’s Health Tip: Blood Sugar Vicious Cycle & The Truth About Acid (Stomach Acid, People!)

Two good links
Thanks for posting.
I'm having some strange sugar issues at the moment and wondering why? Not over weight, don't eat a lot of sugar or drink alcohol or fizzy pop. My blood sugar is high when I get up after having not eaten for 12 hours and lowers when I eat in the morning to normal range. But then is spikes after dinner to around 10. This has happened on the back of having what I think is candida and I have removed carbs and sugars from diet. I'm not sure the regime is agreeing with me.
Interesting I bought HCL last week.
One doc i value a lot chris kesser, said that all hypoth.people would do themselves favour if having glucose meter, and it goes like this you eat, measure blood sugar 2 hours later if your lvl is 120 higher you should not eat that kind of food...the more stable blood sugar the better, this is goal ofcourse, but i am very sure the more ill you are the more issues with blood sugar lvls....and ......only few weeks ago i linked my panick attacks i was experiencing a lot in previous years, to blood sugar drops.....its like instant trigger! And looks like battery low...and you are about to die .....
Stable blood sugar is just prerequest of good metabolism or its vice versa
So very good point made in the article, this is now my second obsession, i know my blood sugar not ok when i ate and feel hungry still....i experiencd this first time ever last year in autumn, when i was trying to adjust my diet, eat less sweets and kicked out gluten,
What did help me a lot was higher protein and good fat intake, but good thyroid is crucial i think too
Ivy, I thought you might be interested in the article when I posted it How are you doing on the Combithyrex?
Hehehe tahnk you so much!! ...
I am doing soooooo goooood this is a complete therapy....i felt no jittery, nothing, just better breathing! I rode bike in the midst of a heat, uphill! No sweat, something that would make me hyperventilate and cause panick attack before, i was so euphoric
...but after beeingnhit by a wall brick so many times when i thought i got my health back, i will stay like cautious after first day lol
But i just cant believe my doc did not put me on it the very first day!!! Seriously hypothyroid people can not use t4 only!i am sure of that.
Plus i ask myself all day long why i w afraid of that t3 , when its so harmless thing, i had palpitations from t4 regularly at the beginning
Hi clutter, enjoyed your links and was actually an eye opener. I have just had another diverticulitis attack, been on co amoxiclav 250/125 and metronidazole 400 plus 30/500 co coda mol for pain. I also take (amongst others) omeprazole 20 x 2 a day . As i also have GORD . there had been a while ago a post regarding stopping taking omeprazole and replacing with cider vinegar and wondered wether I should do this. Is it possible you may know and let me know where I can find this link again please. I am seeing my doctor next week and want to take enough information with me to get myself sorted out.
I had some tests which I had reported back to me via the receptionist that I need to take a particular sugar test each year as I am on the cusp of becoming diabetic, apparently I have to lose a stone and a half of weight and then I will be "ok". I was also going to talk to my doc about this too.
Many thanks
Crwbin, Have you had thyroid blood tests to check your thyroid function? Low thyroid function can increase the risk of diabetes and thyroid hormone replacement can help manage it.
Lots of posts on Omeprazole and apple cider vinegar healthunlocked.com/search/a...

Just for clarification-you mentioned thyroid hormone replacement-do mean NDT or just more lythoroxine ?
Thanks
Sharon
Sharon, I meant Levothyroxine. I didn't know you were already taking it and your doctor had reduced your dose.
I have but the receptionist who gave me results did not give me the ranges, said the doctor would have to tell me, so am seeing the doctor next week. I had the full tests that everyone on here suggested, so I will post them once I get them. the doc had decreased my doseage by 25 so was then taking 100 lythoroxine , I came like a sloth and felt awful so have upped it again, but had some other health issues cropping up.
Thanks for the links, and thanks again for all the good work you and the other administrators do.
Crwbin, don't be fobbed off by the receptionist or GP, the lab ref ranges are an important part of interpreting your results. If necessary, speak to the Practice manager and insist on being given your full results and lab ref ranges as you are making a subject access request under the Data Protect Act.
Thanks will keep that in mind. To be fair the receptionists are pretty good, think it was a new one and I needed to talk to the doctor anyway.
