Sue, if it says 'not abnormal' then it means the result is within normal range and hypothyroidism, for example, is not diagnosed.

If you post your recent test results with the lab ref ranges members will comment/advise.

Sue, I'm not too clever with bloods but results slightly below and slightly over range aren't generally a reason for concern. I would raise it with your GP at your next appointment. GPs do contact patients when their results are concerning.

You can also post a new question asking for comments on your blood results if you don't get any more responses to this post.

Your cholesterol is a little high which is often the case in hypothyroid patients until thyroid medication is optimised. Do you have hypothyroid symptoms and have you had thyroid blood tests?

Thyroid fiction test.......

Serum TSH level.......0.4. MIu/L (0.4 - 5.0)

Serum free T4 level......15 pom1/L (9 -19)

Does this help.........

Sue, thyroid results look ok. Have you had ferritin, vitamin D, B12 and folate tested? Deficient and low levels are common in hypothyroid patients and can cause fatigue, muscle and bone pain. VitD high in range 75-200 helps conversion of T4 to T3. Ferritin is optimal at 70-90 and B12 should be >500.
