I am currently on Levo 50/75 on alternate days. Do I stop these completely before taking Nature Throid and if so how long before? Or do I take the NT in addition to the Lev? Thanks x

Hi I have just started NDT today. I took 100mcg levo 15mcg T3 yesterday, today I just took one 60mcg grain am and half pm.

I have gone slightly lower than my usual dose and will slowly increase in the coming weeks. My body is used to T3 so may be easier.

I think 1/2 grain is equivalent to 50mcg.

Maybe start at 1/4 grain for first few days?

There is a protocol on here somewhere, put ndt dosing into search you should find it there.

Or someone will post it for you.

After hyperthyroidism then RAI treatment never regained health.Chronic fatigue, widespread joint/muscle pain. Insomnia, the list is endless. Had to give up work 2 years ago. got CFS/ME diagnosis. Tried T4/T3 for 2 years got me out of bed but activity is still limited.

So this is the next step hoping the other hormones enzymes in NDT is what my body is missing.

Over the last 8 years my weight has been up and down depending what dose meds I have been on.

Be careful not to overdose to get the ideal figure, as the symptoms are not good either.

Awh poor you - hope new meds work for you. Lev has helped mu pain and tiredness but just a little. Feel if weight more normal would have more energy. Def not after ideal figure lol - way down wishlist! Keep posted on your hopefully return to good health x
