Hello One and All! Serrapeptase - what do we think about it? Does it do what it says on the box? XX
About this particular bacterial enzyme, I know nothing. But about Nattokinase (which is derived from the fermentation product of soybean with Bacillus subtilis) I know plenty. Seems both enzymes are similar in certain respects.
For example, Nattokinase is not only a clot buster but has a very beneficial effect for menstrual cramps. It needs to be taken consistently and if taken several times per week for the entire cycle, the worst cramps are entirely eliminated.
We can no longer obtain this in Canada (for our own good you understand. HealthCanada would rather people take NSAIDS.... I think large effective doses of Serrapeptase have also been made illegal. Both enzymes have been used elsewhere with success for decades.)
The actual Bacillus subtilis is available as a probiotic in Europe and the USA. It was used in WW2 as an almost instant cure for dysentery. (By the German army).
Many thanks for your input xx
Hi sheenah, here's an article on serrapeptase: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...
I took Serrapeptase (3 bottles) in the hope that it would ease rhinitus, but unfortunately it does not seem to have helped much. Also its darned expensive!
