Very interesting - particularly the comment from the GP in Tower Hamlets... have been checking out his website too....! xx

I didn't look in to that before, but having now scanned through it I wonder if the GP is incorrect, not perhaps in his global concerns but because his premise that the changes will create the worse of all worlds is based on a somewhat Eutopian view of 1950's GP-provided health care which largely no longer exists. The provision of walk-in centres which we have now, doesn't seem to have led to any downturn in the quality of healthcare and in my experience has improved it- seeing a doctor within minutes or at worst , within a few hours of arrival rather than 4 weeks waiting to see my GP. With the quality of technology that exists now in principle it should be possible to see any doctor anywhere, and he be able to access our records, other than perhaps for the more serious and protracted conditions may be.

There's probably much more to this though, than my somewhat superficial glance has told me ;-)

I should imagine there is! :)

I didn't really have any information either way before reading all this - so it was very interesting! :)

Thanks for posting! xxx
