Healthy adrenal glands need salt to function. If you look at recipes for adrenal cocktails they all contain salt as an essential ingredient.

You haven't said why you are taking the hydrocortisone, so I can't comment on that.
What exactly have you been googling? And why? It would never occur to me to ask that question when taking HC. Did your doctor say something about it?
Are you taking hydrocortisone because you have Adrenal Insufficiency? Do you also take Fludrocortisone? If so, and you are craving salt then maybe you’re fludro dose needs adjusting. I know that I crave salt when I am low in cortisol.

Hi got adrenal deficiency and inactive thyroid, bit awkward was seeing consultant and having blood tests every two weeks but coronavirus but paided to that, just read somewhere hydrocortisone causes salt and water retention and to eat foods full of potassium
It will depend on whether you have primary adrenal insufficiency or secondary adrenal insufficiency. If you are primary ie Addison disease then it is likely that you would be on Fludrocortisone. However it is a question to ask your Endocrine doctor rather on here. Have a look on the Addison's Disease website for relevant information rather than Google.
