When is the correct time of day to take levothyroxine?

Hi to all - I was advised by a Boots Pharmacist that Thyroxine is better absorbed if taken at night, does anyone know if this is correct? Thanks

Some have found it more beneficial to take levo at night, others prefer morning dose.

If you take it at bedtime, you must have last eaten two hours before hand and take with glass of water.

If you go for thyroid gland blood tests you should have it as early as possible and you have to leave about 24 hours gap between dose and blood test. So if you take a morning dose, you don't take it till after the blood test. If you take night dose, you miss this and take after the morning blood test. Some people continue to take the night dose again at bedtime.
