Is your dose of levo at optimum as tinnitus is a clinical symptom of hypo. See last symptom on this list:-

Also a symptom of b12 deficiency.

Even though you are on 100mcg of levo, the question we should ask ourselves is 'how do we feel'. If we feel well we are usually on optimum. If we still feel rough an increase may well help. Some GPs believe that if we are 'within range' symptoms must be due to some other cause. This is a link in which I made some comments earlier. I don't know if it will be helpful.

I developed tinnitus about 3 years ago after i started on levo. I'm now on T3 only but the tinnitus has not gone away, guess I'm stuck with it.

I have had tinnitus for just over a month. But I have been on levothyroxine for about 2 years.

Poor you, it us horrible at first. I started getting it after a general anaesthetic two years ago and it was so distressing. It took about three months to get used to it and now it doesn't bother me. I've been on thyroxine for 12 years and I don't associate it with that, more likely to be vit b12 deficiency after anaesthetic in my case ,but it hasn't reversed.

I've got it - have had it since before dx - and it never really seems to shift one way or the other. I'm on t3 and t4. My mum has it too and is well-medicated on ndt.

It can also come from nerve damage apparently, as a result of being subject to certain types of noise over time. My mum was told that hers is consistent with the sort of damage you'd see in someone who worked in a factory. It may not surprise you that she was a teacher for over 30 years teaching 6/7 year olds.

I have it in my legs and bursitis in my hip act as well. I wonder if its damage from not being treated for a long time. Now on meds still have problems when I over do it! Wish I knew the answer to this one. Best to you.

My endo told me tinnitus was nothing to do with the thyroid and I've been referred to the Ent specialist .. I'm on 100 levo and am ok half the time now, when I was on 75 I had ringing and wooshing in my left ear only most of each day!
