Self diagnosis anyone?

Another question. Has anyone researched, self diagnosed and therefore self treated themselves without the intervention of a Specialist/Dr? What was the outcome? I only ask because there is a lot of knowledge amongst contributors on this blog alone.

I think you'll find that many of us have suffered with extreme brain fog and therefore unable to process and retain information.

Polite request to not duplicate posts in both Questions and Posts sections!!

Fair enough - as in infrequent contributor can you clarify what is the difference is between a Question and a Post? For anyone like myself who feels slightly intimidated by things like this, I dont like to make myself look stupid.

Hi Sandra, dont worry! A question is usually looking for answers, a post is more like a blog, just passing on information. But I use the 'latest activity' screen most so see both, but I guess other people actively look for posts or questions. Either is fine, but duplicates get a bit confusing. Xx

People tend to get a better response in the Questions section. :)

We would rather that people kept Questions to the questions section and left Posts for information type posts... Thanks :)

I wish that Admin had the ability to move things between the two..... :(

I would like to know the difference to that one too. I'm recently new here and both forums seem to contain questions, so I'm confused.

People do follow the DIY route, but it does involve getting reliable blood tests from somewhere. Some people start with NHS blood tests, then if their doctor is unsympathetic and the blood tests show that a different level of medication might help, they move on to self medication, either partly or completely. Then they need to get blood tests from somewhere, usually privately e.g. Blue Horizon, because over medication can be dangerous.
