I ultimately opted for radioactive iodine in the midst of other health problems causing me unsympathetic absence from work. It was sold as straight forward, May not work first time but changes will be picked up and off I go into thyroxine easier to manage. How wrong

Give it time to stabilise, you may be well on Levo - I was for many years. It's horrible when work puts you under pressure - holds up recovery too. Good luck, hope you're better soon
Thank you, I feel like I'm losing it, ironically I'm a NHS nurse, sadly the affects of this have put me in emergency department twice, they say I'm vastly undertreated but my endocrinologist is off sick and try and get an appointment with a regular gp I hate rubbishing our services as it not the service it's having adequate resources.
I had RAI in 2011, it took around 6 months to a year to settle down. In the main I feel OK these days ...... I also have CMT so its debatable whether tiredness is CMT or thyroid related.
So far my employers have been OK, but I think that's probably more to do with CMT.
Thank you everyone. I'm due blood tests soon so will ensure additional tests added all they run is a tsh x
