There is nothing to be worried about, it's simple and no side effects.

Just reiterating what hypohen said. I had mine in Dec. last year. Take bloods, inject stuff, wait half an hour take more bloods. Easy painless simple.xx

I was like you terrified. There was no need to be, nothing different to having bloods taken and no side effectc.

Please dont worry..

Tea and biscuits were available at my hosp - I quite enjoyed the experience actually as I got talking to all the other people in the ward and had a right giggle.

No just NHS, my local hosp, but it is quite a good one that really seems to know how to treat people.

I've only had the short one. No problem except I couldn't stop crying, so take tissues. I had an abnormal result.

After that I had insulin stress test, now THAT was horrid (OK during the test, but the after effects were awful).

Good luck xx

I did have side effects, but i'm very very sensitive to chemicals. I got stomach cramps, nausea and dizziness.

Good luck, most people are fine.

Just back from mine. Nothing to be concerned about, honestly. The injection of synacthen went into my bum, and was a bit more sore than a normal injection, but nothing horrible. Good luck with yours x

mine was in my arm and I never felt a thing, though it helps when you have little feeling in your arms in the first place :D

Like the other have said, absolutely nothing to it, its no diffferent that getting your bloods done, other than you get a small injection as well. . I actually felt warm for the first time in many years about 3 hours later, didnt last long though.

I'm upset, I didn't get a cuppa or a biscuit and I went private. :)

Don't worry, easy peasy. X

Don't be nervous. The nurses I had were very nice and explained everything thoroughly. I was super nervous when I had mine done yesterday and I told them about it and they kept checking on me. I had a reaction which I heard is unusual but they looked after me. If anything does happen you are in a hospital which is the best place to be!
