It means you have the autoimmune thyroiditis (Hashimoto's) type of hypothyroidism. Treatment is the same but having one autoimmune disease does predispose you to others.

Hashi's is a fluctuating condition because the thyroid gland sputters in and out of life until it is destroyed and makes it difficult to stabilse throxine doses.

Many Hashi sufferers have gut issues and gluten free intolerance, lactose intolerance which affect their ability to absorb nutrients, minerals and vitamins from their food.

You would benefit from coeliac screening unless you are already gluten free and blood tests for ferritin, vitD, B12 and folate which are often deficient or low in range in HypoT patients when top of range is needed.

It may mean you are at too low a dose of hormone.

Just means your antibodies are in party mode. They dont normally give you an exact number once you hit 1000, or they never have with me.

Treatment is the same whether your antibodies are through the roof or non existant. Going gluten free can help though (as clutter mentioned), and definately look at your other results to see if you need your dosage upped.
