I have had really bad head aches for the last 4 weeks usually lasting from 1 to 3 days, they are at the back of my head on the right side.

I also keep coming over really tired and need to sleep. I have Graves disease and have been ok. My doctor dismissed that there is any link with my thyroid and has said it's probably a virus and to keep taking the paracetamol , any ideas please ?

If GP's can't explain it - it will be a virus or anything not connected to the thyroid gland.

He should actually run a series of tests which you normally have. I am hypo so don't know what they would be.

How would he know if you need more/less meds without doing a blood test.

He didn't do any blood tests just felt my glands, have an endo appointment in a couple of weeks so might find out more then. He just made me feel like I was wasting his time and it's not as if I see him very often. Thanks for your replies. Let me know if you have any success CharlS.

Hi this can be migraine, autoimmune. or , yes possibly thyroid, I would have some up to date tests, TS, T4 and FT3. As you know Graves does fluctuate.

If migraine, nothing much works but speak to the pharmacist, some meds are aimed to help it. However, you need to take them at first on set of symptoms. There are stronger drugs on script but nothing brilliant.

Feverfew, every day, ( WEB) is an old remedy and does seem to help, but must be taken regardless.
