I was officially diagnosed with Hashimoto's 2 weeks ago and my endocrinologist has sent me for an ACTH test, the results of which have come back normal.
Despite being hypothyroid/Hashi's I have great difficulty gaining weight despite eating a lot and it's been suggested I try an adrenal stress test online.
Unfortunately when I tried to go ahead with ordering one through one of the specialist labs I have to enter a practitioner's account number. This is something I don't have access to, so would that mean that I would need to contact my GP to let them know about this? Or would the practice be able to do an adrenal test instead?
