I've started working out 4/5 a wk since about November noticing "symptoms" getting my blood checked on Wednesday but just lookin for opinions. I'm doing metafit which is 20 minutes intense workouts. It's meant to speed up metabolism.. My issues are hypo symptoms.

Hi. What's your question. I'm hypo and did pile on the pounds before diagnosis but with the tight dose, exercise and a change if diet have list all the weight and most symptoms. Exercise is good as long as you do enough but not so much to wear yourself out. Build up slowly. Good luck. X

Does my increased exercise require more levo? Obviously when a normal person trains their body releases more thyroxine but if we are just takin one dose do I require more? Glad ur feeling good & lost the weight. X

Carrie - I'm also struggling with this exercise with hypothyoid issues.

I think you may get more response if you re-post these questions again as you have written them above.

Also, if you want to respond to a person, you need to use the yellow tab 'reply to this' or they won't get notified...

I hope you get more helpful answers than I can give!

hey - I got a notification! :) I was undiagnosed for a long time and my muscles had become really weak, so I gave myself six months to get used to taking levothyroxine and then I started mobility; walking, housework and a few minutes on the elliptical trainer. It's still mobility for me at the moment - I'm wary about doing too much until I feel stronger and more confident that my body can cope with the increase in energy demand.

I suppose if you did need more then this would show up in symptoms and or next blood test.

I found I exercised to my level and then maybe the amount I could do increased with dose increase rather than the other way round.

If you feel good then I wouldn't worry about whether you might need more thyroxine in the future - your body will tell you what to do. Good luck x
