FT3/FT4 tests ...fasting?

Is it normal to fast before FT3/FT4 testing ....I notice a member today said they had done so, so wanted to ask advice as there was nothing on my form to indicate this and I'm due to book my tests soon. ......advice appreciated.

I have only fasted before blood test if the GP has also requested cholesterol or glucose test for diabetes. I just have it done as early as possible before thyroid meds as people on here have advised. Hope this helps.

On some forums I have read recommendations that fasting will increase tsh (if you want bloods as bad as possible to aid getting a diagnosis!) However I tried it once and my bloods improved quite a lot (same lab and tine of day and my tsh went DOWN). So I now make a point of not fasting!
