Just had my tsh results back and even though I've had an increase of meds from 50 to 75mg every other day , the rate has increased.

Is it possible for you to post your blood test results with the ranges as it makes it easier to comment on your question.

I will say if your TSH is rising you are not on enough medication yet and your GP should have increased your meds.

Ok thanks , I need. To get ranges as I haven't been given them . I have yet to get in with doctor to discuss as should be 2.5 as per a consultants letter but was signed off as being normal again .

Hi finally have range. My last blood test for Tsh was 5.45 mu/l (0.35. - 6.00) . I've made appointment to see doc as I am trying get the rate down to 2.5 as advised to doctor my a fertility consultant. Rate just seems to be going up not down. :-( x

You definitely need a rise in your medication and either talk to your GP on the phone to leave a prescription for you or make an appointment.

I would assume it is still not a high enough dose. Ask your GP if you can take 75 every day. It is hardly a huge increase and you may need even more, depending on next blood results but actually, how do you feel? If you feel fine then do not worry what TSH says.

Two possible reasons - one, your thyroid is still being attacked and it is being damaged and not working as well, or two, the medication has suppressed some of the thyroid's own activity so you will need more meds. Of course, if you feel absolutely fine, no need to change anything.

Are you on Levo? If so, it's more likely to be 75mcg (micrograms) but if it's Armour that is measured in mg (Milligrams)

Not what you're looking for?
