Hi all,
I am wondering what an ideal pulse range is. I just took mine and it was 81bpm (I'm on T3 replacement) and then we did my girlfriends and hers was 56 BPM.
What should we be aiming for?
Thanks
Simon

People who have a low pulse are either very, very fit or maybe hypo. Your girlfriend should do a basal test. Link below:

Doctors say an average pulse is between 60 and 100. As long as the person isn't aware of palpitations, that would be classed as normal.
Hi pulse, H.R should be over 60 and not too high. Both are fine. If goes very low, or high then may be matters Alters with age. Should always be done a manually and after resting for 10 mins.
Yeah well sometimes i take my pulse before I've rested for 10 mins so maybe a few readings are false.....
Hi Certainly makes a difference, Cardios are very fussy about this, rightly so. it also varies a it during the day. Far more important to watch teh BP in a "normal" healthy person. This varies too and must be taken after 10 mins, or longer rest. Normal to go up in the day.
