Feeling really poorly
Have you been diagnosed with thyroid illness, is so are you hypo or hyper?
Sorry need a bit more info to be able to answer you.
Has your GP sent you anywhere for the sciatica - I suffer with this and it is a pain that you cant really describe but I do know that when it effects the legs then you should be having injections.
Also, if you have been diagnosed with thyroid issues what meds are you on.

I see that you are on t3 only. If you were good on t4 and t3 why did you stop the t4? The sciatica is probably nothing to do with your thyroid and the doctor should give you something for it. Maybe diclofenac and paracetamol. I have had that a few times and these meds work.

Sorry I can't get into your profile at the moment (I think the site is having a few problems lately) so didn't know you were on T3 only. Are you over medicated do you think? How much T3 are you on. As you can see by all the questions a little bit more info would be helpful.

Has your GP taken recent thyroid gland blood tests? Maybe that would be a good idea, although I realise you are in a lot of pain and it may be difficult to get to the surgery. Your medication may need an adjustment.
Dear Linda,
I don't know your thyroid/other medical history or past posts here, but I'm assuming you are hypothyroid (based on others/admin. replies about t3/t4 meds). I have had bad heart skips for 3 nights in a row now and since today bad sciatica (very stiff lower back, radiating to leg) eg cannot stand straight or walk normally at all - so I can literally feel for you.
Feeling lightheaded and sick and sweating with heart palps is too familiar for me as well, although I'm not hypo (I have a multinodular goitre due to iodine deficiency that was caused by my primary illness of Lyme disease).
Have you had the steroids for joint problems (hips, knees, elbows, neck, ankles, back, fingers etc)?
Liquorice root helps adrenal function, but not recommended if you have high blood pressure.
If you have seemingly unlinked multiple health problems, like joint problems, thyroid issues and other health issues, that have affected you over the years, and the doctors are puzzled, I would recommend you to look at UK LDA website (lymediseaseaction.org.uk/ab....
The possible symptoms are a very long list as Lyme disease is systemic, meaning it can (and often does) affect the whole body. These symptoms can all have causes other than Lyme disease (which should always be a clinical diagnosis, because if you had a blood test for it now, it would not be reliable as you have been on stroids, which while reducing inflammation also dampen down one's own immune system - eg the NHS lyme blood test looks for antibodies, and your body might not be able to produce them due to steroid use or antibiotics. Also there are no blood test reliable enough to say that you definitely don't have lyme disease.)
In short, I'm not saying you've got this or that based on your short describtion, but it rings a bell for me, so if you look the list and it rings a bell for you as well, then that could be a differential diagnosis, and your thyroid/adrenal issues a part of a bigger picture.
I hope you will feel better soon.
