TSH of 0.69 suggests you should (in theory :) ) feel reasonably ok. However the T4 at 16 is low for someone on replacement, which could account for your symptoms. Having said that, the T4 level does not seem to correlate well with the TSH level. What time was that blood draw done and when did you last take your thyroxine prior to the blood draw?

I think you need to try a higher dose of thyroxine. Many people need FT4 to be near or even slightly above the top of range. Have you approached your GP for an increase?

Yes she wasn't keen but said I could try 150mcg how long before I notice a difference do you think?

Impossible to say how long, everyone has different experience :) Fingers crossed it helps!

Hi Cam, I've been posting these videos by a functional medicine doctor rather than and endo and I think his list of why many still have symptoms are useful to understanding how complicated it is. Each is only 5 minutes. This is #1

Hi. I had a similar story and increased my thyroxine from 125 to 150 and got suppressed TSH and high T4 but still mid range T3 and felt much, much better. For me, I usually feel the benefit of a dose increase within a couple of weeks, but we're all different...

You may want to check your vitamin levels are OK too.

I love it 'If your evidence isn't their evidence - they won't believe you'. Pretty much says it all doesn't it.

I have been on the same dose of thyroxine and my recent blood tests are T4 17 and TSH 3.8 for comparison. So I have a higher blood level of thyroxine yet my bldy is asking for more by increasing my TSH.

So my body isn't asking for more?
