i too feel really hot all the time...sweat pouring off me lol...doc says it is a thyroid problem but no-one seems to have an answer....if you find one let me know xx
i sure will.. but wow these symptoms are horrible and dont help with doctors looking at me like i am nuts xx
And me, I am always too hot wiith temp in the 36's. doesn't make any difference if I take levothyroxine, t3 or NDT. Heart rate is low 80's and blood pressure usually 125/75. Tsh has been 0.02 for donkeys years, and stays the same whichever meds I take. Free t3 not over range as I am careful not to let it rise too much.
Hi This can be any hormonal condition, thyroid check TSH, T4 an d Free T3, checks for vit D, ( corrected calcium first if need treatment), B12+ foliate, Diabetes ( especially) , also not related, iron/ferritin.
It can be more sinister but rarely.
Also check your BP and heart rate (pulse) spasmodically., especially when having a problem.
Best wishes,
Jackie
I usually run hot these days. Except when ill or tired when suddenly I need to wrap myself in a blanket. I've still got a thin 4.5 tog duvet only on the bed. It's worse at night. I get what I mean by 'jelly legs' quite often when I walk the dog - they feel they're about to buckle under me. Usually if I'm walking him before dinner. I also get what I call 'silly legs', where nowhere I put them (!) is comfortable for more than a few minutes. This tends to occur when the cat's on my lap, or when I'm in bed. I think both leg things predate my thyroid troubles. My thyroid troubles recurred at the same time as my menopause - and I've always been one to throw windows open anyway. So if it's done anything it's exacerbated existing tendencies in me. I don't think it's helped the insomnia, which I blame on my thyroid being out of whack.
You are so not nuts, and don't have that from the doc.

Thank you
I am always hot too but strangely my temperature is low, so not sure how that works? Though most people seem to feel the cold I have read that hypo people are intolerant to extremes in temperature so it obviously works the other way too...I know it does for me!
.
Sometimes inflammation somewhere can make you feel as though you have a temperature but you don't actually have one. Sometimes a Paracetmol might help and it all goes away. Sometimes a blood sample can show if there is inflammaton present but sometimes you just don't know what causes it. Sometimes it will go on to something like a chest infection as inflammation is usually the first symptom before you actually get a temperature and confusingly enough, even when Hypothyroid persons get a temperature, they don't, if you know what I mean! In the past I have had to beg doctors to give me antibiotics for a chest infection (I have liung disease) because I have all the symptoms but no temperature....I now carry a letter with me incase I have this problem with any strange Dr as my GP and Consultant know better now.
