No, it is not. I was not cautioned that this could happen before my TT. Were you? I was simply advised my vocal chords might be affected, which they very slightly were but nothing too obvious. I am so sorry. Did they ever explain why it had happened?

CONCLUSIONS

Hyperglycemia and thyroid disorders are much more frequent in patients with sudden deafness than in the general population and should be considered as important associated risk factors for sudden deafness.

This is the conclusion to a study on sudden deafness, done by researchers in Brazil.

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl... the whole study report. It was done in 2010, so likely hasnt been long enough to reach UK endos!!!

Just noticed yours was done 3 years ago ( I really should read properly) which would have been before or around the time of this study, so you would not be able to use it as evidence of neglect, if you were to try to make a claim against the NHS.
