Have just been diagnosed with hashimotos, after pleurisy last winter should I have a flu jab??
Having had a bad bout of flu many years ago,there is no way I would go without a jab.However,it would seem to make sense to check with your GP first because of your previous illness,which may make it even more essential to get one.
This is the first year that our surgery are not sending out reminder letters as they usually do for those who are eligible.We only picked up that information through a notice in our surgery the other day...... Probably another cost cutting exercise .....so worth me warning people if you are used to getting one.
...it is a very personal thing. I choose not to have them. I believe it is better to work on your immune system with diet and supplements. The viruses mutate constantly so how can they include the right one for the coming winter. Could it be a money spinner for Big Pharma ? I had the TB vaccination when at school in the 50's - the BCG - but I still had TB in the gut in my 20's. If it had already been present then I would have had a reaction to the pre-test they gave you. ( six small pin pricks in a circle - if it came up you did not need the BCG ! )
Maybe good to do some more research.... oh I too have Hashimotos....
why not? it's better than the flu. i have one every year
i would also ask your dr about a pneumonia jab too

The Department for Health is not doing an advertising campaign this year because they say it's not cost effective. Let's hope we don't have a flu epidemic this year! I remember years ago there was a flu epidemic and loads of elderly people died and their bodies were kept in refrigerated vans because there wasn't any room in the local hospital's morgue.
I think that there was a lot of Chemtrail activity that period that may have contributed to the high rates.

Hi I had a flu jab last year, 1st one ever, and I will definitely have it this year. I always used to get cold after cold, since the jab I have not had a cold or any signs of one! I recommend it+
