Thyroid test results

Asked gp secretary for my results out of interest!! Waiting for endo appt. Have seen various ranges for results so not sure if mine are at low or high end of scale.....T4. 20.4. TSH <0.01. Free T3 8.7.

Nor are we.

The reference ranges are absolutely essential to interpreting results.

Whilst clearly not at the low end for thyroid hormones, we cannot say that they are high but in range, high and a bit over range or considerably above range.

Not giving reference ranges undermines the process - you must get them. Indeed, anyone "qualified" to give out blood test results absolutely should understand this.

Ask the GP receptionist for the lab ranges

Sorry just noticed your reply I presume the ranges are the figures people have in the brackets!! Ive looked at them when people put their results on here and I thought that the bracket figures were the same for everyone!! I might just ask for them.
