Is parestheasia common in hypo x
It certainly happens to quite a number of hypothyroid people.
But that is VERY far from saying it is caused directly by hypothyroidism in all those who suffer.
It can be caused by the myxoedema itself which applies pressure to nerves. Or low B12 which is associated with hypothyroidism. But it can also be due to many, many other things so a proper diagnosis is highly desirable.
The Wiki article has an impressive list of causes:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pares...
I would put B12 very high on the list because not treating it can cause very much worse and irreversible problems. And it is often quite straightforward to treat.

...I too would follow the advice on b12d.org My tingling in hands and the tendency to drop things was eased when I doubled my dose of B12....
There is a great tendency on this site for many people to assume every symptom, they have by hypothyroidism, and yes they probably all can be in some person or other, it is a condition that has an incredible number of potential ill effects, but it doesn't mean every symptom a hypothyroid person has IS directly being caused by that condition!
The many causes (and I bet there are probably a lot more too) are listed on this page:

Probably best to start by looking at the more obvious things that apply to you... for example I have spinal osteoarthritis, so for me, I tend to suspect that as a cause of some of mine, before necessarily blaming the thyroid issues, but I am not sure I can blame that for all of them!
Whenever my thyroid is significantly underactive I feel like someone is pouring cold water over my upper left arm! So it definitely causes paraesthesia for me.
