I have hypothyroidism, with high TPO, high T 4 but normal serum 3 T3 level 3.6.
My Dr has said its normal and no action needs to be taken, do I need to see an endocrinologist?
Any light you can shed or advice would be gratefully received. Thanks!

Have you got any actual figures you can post on here.
High Ferritin can be dangerous so if you have your actual results it would be helpful - not just for ferritin but for all the above.
As Moggie says, we could do with the actual numbers with reference ranges as well if you have them please. I know it's a pain but different labs have different reference ranges, especially for T4, so we need to know what the range is for your lab.
Also what are taking and how much? It is not a problem to have a high T4 if you are on thyroxine, provided your T3 is within range and you feel well.

Thank you very much for getting back to me Moggie and Carolyn. I don't have the figures nor do I have the lab ranges, but I will get them.
For now I can say that I take Levothyroxine 75 micrograms daily.
Thanks also Carolyn for the tip off regarding haemochromatosis, I've just googled it and so will talk to my Dr about it.
My Dr has, as of today, referred me to an Endocrinologist at the UCLH Dr Gerard Conway. Have you heard of him, do you know if he's any good?
Thanks for you help.
