Am about to switch from Levo to armour - any guidance would be useful. Thanks

I don't really avoid it, although I think others do. I take my first dose at 5am, so about 3 hours before breakfast. I take a second dose at 11am and have lunch about an hour later. I take a third dose at 5pm and snack a bit then but eat later at about 8pm.

I think that what ever you do, if you always do similar, then your dose will be adjusted to compensate. It may mean that if you do eat close to taking Armour, that you end up on a slightly higher dose, although I am on a lowish dose of 2.75 grains.

Good luck and look forward to hearing how it goes :) xx

Thanks. I've been reading your blogs which have helped too! One question - do you take iron? If so when do you take it? Whilst my iron is now just within range I still need to keep taking it and have been told to take it away from the armour. Just wondering how to fit it in!

Yes it is difficult fitting it all in :D

I take iron at bed time, with some vitamin C, but think it is meant to be best taken with a meal. However, this seems to be the best time for me to fit it in :) xx

And taking iron with food can reduce your ability to absorb zinc from the food...

Never gets easier, does it?

So in theory does that mean I shouldn't take my zinc supplement alongside the iron? As that's what I've been doing!

Think I might have put my question in wrong place. Was just wondering if that means I shouldn't be taking my zinc supplement at the same time as iron? As that's what I've been doing.

I think that is right. If you can, separate it.

My doctor advises taking it in the same way as t4, ie away from food.
