I've also had whooping cough since December and I can not shake it, could this be another indication of my dose not being high enough?

Yes. Or your adrenals not being supported.

Hi Yes, it can be thyroid connected. I would ask for an ultra sound of the thyroid. Also, as I am sure you know, make sure you have had an Xray of your lungs/chest. Any cough lasting more than a months needs the Xray. If not had one, the GP will refer you to the walk in Xray and done that day. Just to be sure.It could also be gut related, gastroscopy??

Make sure at a minimum you have had TSH, T4 and Free T3 tested, ask for a print out ( receptionist) with ranges ( differ). This is a routine request.

I hope this helps.

Haha, was on my ipad and it doesn't support this site very well! Chest x-ray is clear aside from the 2 fractured ribs I had! not gut related, its just the same all consuming cough lingering around! I've made an appt at the GP, as each time I have my thyroid test, its the receptionist who tells me "your results are fine" which i always reply "thanks", instead of saying "well I dont feel fine!".

Thank you

Whooping cough does drag on - it's known in some places as the hundred day cough but can last more than 3 months. My friend had it over Christmas and beyond but it does go eventually. Sorry you can't shake it, it's an awful thing, it must be getting you down.

it certainly does drag on, had it since December! Going to see my GP though, so hopefully he'll look again properly at my most recent test results. Thank you
